Simone Zaza This is why I failed at West Ham
"Quickly I didn’t feel great in so many ways - environment, culture, training, nutrition.

"I was not good physically. I had been through pre-season with Juventus so I was OK. When I got there I found a different method of training.

"I need to train more, for someone to kick my ass.

he absolute pony and to say that it was down to the training regime and no-one getting a hold of him is laughable. how the fuck some of these cunts even get a game let alone become professionals is beyond me

It only took Gabbiadini 12 minutes to get his first goal for Southampton. Perhaps we should have got him and not Zaza.
By the way Reid was the one that played Gabbiadini onside today. Very close thing though.

Doing well at Valencia, misses a sitter now 4-0 down at home to Eibar who average about 4,000 at home. Ground is empty ultras staged a walkout.

Good of him to take some ownership of his failure.

Would have been better if he'd simply admitted that the Premier League is a little above the level he can play at though.

Re: Simone Zaza This is why I failed at West Ham
I watched him play v ROI in the Euros and thought a prancing eurotrash ladyboy with sculpted facial hair would not suit the Premier league ... but no one asked ME!

If he felt he needed more did he not discuss this with the training staff or do extra work he felt he needed?
And did not our endless staff communicate with him to see how he was going and why he wasn't performing?
Bit late now.

Foreigners still moaning about our scoff in 2017.
His arguement ends right there.

Damage limitation on his PR side

There may well be faults in the training regime but you could wire that cunts bollox to the national grid and still not get a spark in front of goal

He lacks the basic greed and self belief to be a top grade striker, he can undoubtedly kick a ball but he is underlying a gutless individual and for that reason will fail despite odd moments where his natural ability manages to supersede his innate sporting cowardice.

not the first, not the last

This does say something about the club - but not the obvious. More work needs to be done in identifying players who can add something to a team like West Ham and move us forward. Zaza obviously lacks motivation and the ability to adapt. It's just not a case of getting 'top' players in on loan or a large fee. They have to be a good fit for the side. If you look at some (a lot?) of the purchases over the years, there are too many who haven't worked out.

Is there no one who lives near the training ground who could put cones out and then they could just fucking sack Dicksie

I'm sorry I can't get those two defeats by City out of my head, just plain humiliating

I barely knew he existed until his penalty at the Euros. That he could go from laughingstock to West Ham’s marquee transfer says a lot for how we do things here.

So what?Just go home? Go to the gym then, take some responsibility for your fitness for your £40000 a week you lazy cunt. Also no amount of training will make you able to hit a cows arse with a banjo you useless prick.

Geoff, how many loans have turned out good for us..... lanzini.

Its a cheap strategy, if any of the players that we get on loan were shit hot, we would buy them straight up. There is a certain level of shitness u should naturally expect from a sully loan deal and it is VERY CHEAPO

Maybe it was Zaza having the rumoured affair with Payet Would explain a lot.

Re: Simone Zaza This is why I failed at West Ham
£4m in loan fee ALONE is not cheapo! I expected much more from him. Well, I expected something from him, at least.

Dreadful business, whatever the reasons he gives for his failure. No-one emerges with any credit - apart from Juve's negotiator.

grasshopper 9:05 Fri Feb 3
Re: Simone Zaza This is why I failed at West Ham
Think there is some truth in the shit training but bottom line is he was a cheapo bargain bucket loan with an option to buy deal from sully

Was you really expecting him to be the next geoff hurst?

Re: Simone Zaza This is why I failed at West Ham
To be fair to him. If you read the whole thing, he’s blaming himself more than anyone else.

Zaza told Gazzetta dello Sport: "Once I realised that I needed to leave Juve I decided to try an adventure abroad.

"West Ham was one of the teams that I wanted the most.

"But quickly I didn’t feel great in so many ways - environment, culture, training, nutrition.

"I'm not being a victim, I know that plying your trade as a footballer allows you to earn so much.

"I'm just trying to explain the causes of my failure. I knew I would find some difficulties, but I did not think there could be so many.

"I do not blame anyone, 99 per cent of it's my fault because I was not able to adapt.

"I was sure that I’d make it but it was probably because I’m set in my ways. I’m attached to my habits, my things, my points of reference otherwise I’m lost and I can’t find myself.

"I was not good physically. I had been through pre-season with Juventus so I was OK. When I got there I found a different method of training.

"You exercise less, sometimes the sessions last 40 minutes and almost immediately I didn’t feel good.

"I need to train more, for someone to kick my ass. The problem is that on Sunday other people went to a thousand percent.

"Not me. I wanted to do things that come naturally when I'm playing well and I could not do them. And I became crazy.

"What went wrong? I've been wondering myself because my story says that I have always done everything to reverse difficult situations.

"Maybe in London I was thinking too much. And maybe this different personal attitude ended up being counter-productive."

Re: Simone Zaza This is why I failed at West Ham
As much as I love Dicksie, when he freely admits he hated training, particularly fitness training, you have to wonder if he's the best man for the job of trainer.

As for Zaza, I still think more than anything he was traumatised after the conversion he took in the Euros in France. A serious and intense lack of confidence, and perhaps he wasn't very fit either.

Players are free to train more, if they want, so he obviously wasn't too concerned about his fitness while he was with us; that or he's a backwards child that needs to be pointed in the right direction when walking through doors or pissing in a urinal.

Zara and Valencia were just not good enough

Hove not noticed any improvement in Valencia with his better training, have you?

Re: Simone Zaza This is why I failed at West Ham
Valencia criticizing the intensity of our training methods
Zaza now criticizing the intensity of our training methods
Feghouli told he was unfit my Algerian manager
Payet clearly unfit
Bilic says we play without intensity v Arsenal
Bilic says we play without intensity v Man City cup
All season has been the same subject to a few games, Chelsea cup.

Bilic seems to pally doesn't to want to change his Croat training staff. Sign of a weak manager, business is business, unless Bilic has also run out of ideas. When will heads roll ffs, shambles.
